Humility Blue Bell

This is the first in the series of my christmas cards. This Snow Goddess card was inspired by Joni, its all about winters wonder. During the first fall of snow everything looks so pure and beautiful and ifs your first time theres nothing like making snow angels and catching your first flakes, or watching you pets experiencing it for the first time, like how they try to catch the flakes with there paws and kinda jump in the snow. Then theres our old friend the Robin who returns to us forever faithful watching over us with his warm glowing breast. For me everything is so calm and beautiful, its time to glow like the snow.

I was inspired to create my own green absinthe faerie. Here she playfully enticies you to try some of her magical treat with her mystical green glow...

I took inspiration from a friend called Nettle. It's a rather tempting pose, which said everything to me. I've also tried to capture an aspect of the goddess with this painting, which is why you see the crescent of the moon fitted perfectly around the face representing the goddess of the night. I know that Nettle is quite passionate about the Fae, nature and the earth, which is represented by sultry little faerie who works with Nettle to tempt you to partake of the delights of nature.

This is one of my first faerie paintings, back from my days of custom airbrushed painting. Initially it was airbrushed using acrylics, and then finished off using a paint brush. I was inspired by my love of true long-lasting friendship.

Title “Blue Bell - Humility” No109
This painting is about humility and it mean gratitude and love, it is a time for reflection, humble begins and change. I used labradorite is known as a destiny stone, a power stone and its excellent for clarifying your goals for the future and bringing you closer to humility, its a wonderful stone for transformation and seeing the true self, taking away stress. I used a lot of purple in this painting, which is a great visualization and healing color and the greens really balance you out. I used azurite as its a great stone for the transformation, healing and cleansing and helping you to connect to our spiritual side, its positive effects help you break free form old bad habits, a wonderful stone to release the spring time in you. And green jasper as its a balancing stone great for the heart chakra.
Bluebells bloom in the spring time and are said to be connected to the faerie realm. Some say that you should not walk through bluebells as it is believed that the enchantment would lead you to the little folk who would then spirit you away. Folklore also warns you that should you be unlucky to hear the bluebells ring, that you may die within a year. Well what ever you believe bluebells are enchanting and through all my childhood I just received the greatest of pleasure playing and walking through the blankets of bluebells, to a young girl you feel like a princess surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Earlier this year I stumbled across the poems of Dave King, and his lovely poem "I believe in Fairies" This is such a lovely poem and I wanted to share with you the talents of David Kings Beautiful poem.
I Believe in Fairies
At the bottom of the garden the rustle of the leaves,
You might see who's there when you listen and believe,
Somewhere under the flowers a magical world within,
The tiny wings beating fast that make no din,
So where will you find a wonderful place like this,
A land you may find or if you blink you'll miss,
Lay back, relax and then ease your mind,
Let your thoughts go you see what you might find,
Believe in your imagination and magical things will come,
See beyond what the eye could see and hear the sound hum,
Such moments like these bring magic and love,
They come from the roots to the leaves fluttering above,
There is a gift that comes from within our reaches,
Listen to the word of the wise voices that teaches,
Don't let it get to you for what you believe now,
There's magic everywhere for all so who's the fool now.
For more of Dave's beautiful poems. I wanted to say thank you Dave for letting me use your beautiful poem on my site.
